FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

HEAD

  1. Fill your bong with cool water, making sure that the downstem, also called a chillum, is submerged in water.
  2. Prepare your ground herb blend and fill your bowl with it.
  3. Place your lips on the mouthpiece and cover the carb hole (if present) with your finger.
  4. Light your herbs and draw on the tube until it has filled with smoke.
  5. You can now release your finger from the carb hole and inhale the smoke. If your bong doesn't have a carb hole, you need to pull out the bowl or the downstem to regulate the airflow.

As a general rule, we recommend cleaning your bong daily to prevent residue buildup and to maintain the full smoking experience.

For cleaning, we recommend our effective Schall & Rauch Bio Cleaner, in combination with our in-house Antikalk descaler.

Disassemble your bong into its individual parts and rinse them with hot water to loosen initial buildup. Then use the cleaner according to the manufacturer's instructions. You can also use cleaning accessories such as plugs or brushes to make the job easier.

You can remove coarse residue from your herb grinder using a soft brush. Be sure to avoid sharp objects to prevent damaging the surface.

For an effective cleaning, we recommend using a cleaning alcohol such Iso Clean.

Cannabinoids are also fat-soluble and can therefore be dissolved with milk. The manufacturer Gleichdick, for example, recommends boiling their herb grinders in milk.

Activated carbon can filter up to 90% of harmful substances, such as tar or nicotine, from the smoke. This has the major advantage of being gentler on your lungs, and the smoke feels pleasantly smooth and non-irritating.
The valuable active compounds are preserved and are not filtered out.

After drying, you should store your buds in a dry, airtight, light-protected, and cool place. In our range, you will find perfectly suited storage containers made of glass, plastic, or stainless steel.

To maintain a consistent moisture level in your dried buds and to prevent the loss of aromas/terpenes and potency, we recommend adding Boveda Bags.

Optimal storage conditions are provided by a room with a temperature of 16-20 degrees Celsius and a humidity of 50-60%.

GROW

There is no such thing as the one "best" fertilizer. The right fertilizer depends on your medium (soil, hydro, coco) and your growing method, as well as your requirements. If you have little experience, we recommend forgiving organic fertilizers such as those from Biobizz, Canna or Plagron.

The right fertilizer depends on your medium, your growing method, and your requirements.
For beginners, we recommend forgiving organic fertilizers or user-friendly solid fertilizers.

In principle, any fertilizer can be used outdoors.
We recommend user-friendly and time-saving slow-release fertilizers. These granules, powders, or pellets are enriched with nutrients and worked into the soil. They then gradually release their ingredients to the plant during watering.

Before taking any measures, you should make sure that it is actually a case of over-fertilization.

In case of over-fertilization, you can flush any medium with Canna Flush. This removes excess nutrients and minerals from plants and substrates. However, beneficial bacteria and fungi are preserved.

Prevent over-fertilization in advance by monitoring the pH and EC values. Follow the feeding schedules and the manufacturers' instructions.

Regular watering is important so your plant does not dry out. However, make sure that your roots are not constantly wet!

Keep in mind that plants under LED lights require less water. The reason for this is the lower heat radiation from the lamp.

Tip: You can gauge when to water by the weight of the pot. Lift it before and after watering to estimate the weight.

Suitable space:
- Room, closet, or grow tent

Sufficient light:
- LED or light sources such as high-pressure sodium lamps, metal halide, etc.

Air supply:
- Exhaust and intake air
- Oscillating fans
- Activated carbon filter (ACF) for odor neutralization

Various accessories:
- Timers
- Ducting
- Thermometer, hygrometer
- Power and extension cables
- Hangers

Plant care
- Fertilizer, water, and substrates
- Pots and saucers

Which soil is best suited for you depends on which stage your plant is in. In our range, you can find soils with varying levels of nutrient content.

For seeds, young plants, and when using solid fertilizers, we exclusively recommend lightly pre-fertilized soil (Light Mix). For larger plants, you can use more heavily pre-fertilized soil.

EC is short for Electrical Conductivity and refers to the electrical conductivity of water. It measures the concentration of dissolved salts (ions) in the water or nutrient solution.

Mineral fertilizers mainly consist of salts. Over-fertilization can therefore be easily avoided by monitoring the EC value.

The pH value indicates how acidic or alkaline your water or nutrient solution is. Furthermore, the value plays an important role in nutrient availability.

A scale from 0 to 14 is used for measurement. pH 0 is the most acidic, 7 is neutral, and 14 is the most alkaline. Your plant feels most comfortable with a value between 5.5 and 6.5.

VAPORIZER

A vaporizer is a device used to heat hemp or herbs and vaporize their active compounds without burning them.

When vaporizing, the active compounds of your herbs are vaporized without any combustion or smoke production. This releases fewer harmful byproducts, resulting in a potentially healthier method of consumption. Additionally, you experience a smoother flavor and a more efficient use of the active compounds.

Phytoinhalation refers to the absorption of plant-based active compounds through inhalation.
In this process, the active compounds of plants, such as hemp or herbs, are inhaled through vaporization or combustion.

There are portable vaporizers, desktop vaporizers, and pen vaporizers.

Portable vaporizers are small and mobile, desktop vaporizers are more powerful and suited for home use, while pen vaporizers are slim and discreet.

When choosing a vaporizer, you should consider factors such as portability, ease of use, battery life, temperature control, and price.

Fill the chamber or container of the vaporizer with your desired herbs or extracts, turn on the device, and set the desired temperature.

Wait until the vaporizer has reached the optimal operating temperature, then slowly and evenly inhale the produced vapor.

Yes, some vaporizers allow you to vaporize both herbs and extracts.

These specialized vaporizers offer various chamber or attachment options for use with herbs or oil extracts such as concentrates or resins.

Mouthpieces and chambers can be easily cleaned with brushes and high-proof alcohol such as our in-house Iso Clean.

Every vaporizer is built differently, so be sure to follow the manufacturer's instruction manual.

Make absolutely sure that no liquids enter the heating chamber!

CBD/HANF

CBD stands for cannabidiol and is a natural compound derived from the hemp plant. It is being researched for its potential health benefits and therapeutic applications.

The legal status of CBD varies by country and region. In some countries, CBD is legally available, while in others it is subject to stricter regulations.

In Austria, the sale and possession of CBD products with a THC content below 0.3% is legal.

CBD is being researched for its potential anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving, anxiety-reducing, and neuroprotective properties.

It is also being studied for its supportive role in sleep disorders, stress management, and other health conditions.

No, unlike THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), CBD does not have psychoactive effects and does not cause intoxication or "high" feelings.

CBD can be used in various forms, including oils, capsules, gummies, creams, and more. The exact method of use depends on individual needs and preferences.

Cannabinoids are chemical compounds found in the hemp plant that interact with the endocannabinoid system in the body.

They include compounds such as CBD (cannabidiol) and many others, some of which may have potential medicinal effects on the body.
